I was looking for a somewhat high-end class Bluetooth speaker with gorgeous soud...

 

My strict criteria for selection were

1. Portability to use outdoor environment

2. Gorgeous and rich sound

+

(In addition)

It can be utilized as a Battery bank

as well as wireless charge for mobile phone

BEOLIT 20 was the ONE for my selection.

...

The retail price at the official web site in Korea was around USD 550...

...technically it is above USD 600...

It was a quite challenging price to overcome for me...

 

 

I struggled to search a more reasonable price at anywhere else on the internet,

 

There was a third-party web site

selling the item at 50% of the retail price.

A Half of the original price.

Yes...

I am the King of the internet search, especially for the lowest price of any item.

So I rushed to go BIN = Buy It Now...

So, I could save almost USD 300 for the item.

 

This is the third party web site selling the item with 50% off the price!!

 

So I finished my order...

And... I was wondering that...

"Is it exactly the same item as the one on the official web site?"

I could find something...

something unfortunate...

 

There were several comments on the foreign web site and Youtube 

saying that BEOLIT 20 made in China is Fake or degraded or malfunctioned one...

 

I was nervous...

Am I fuxxed up?

OMG...

 

Two weeks after the order is placed,

The item finally was delivered

The item was delivered from...

CHINA...

Yes, that country was...

The CHINA...

 

I was hurried to request a full refund

to the seller through the third party web site,

They requested USD 400+ for shipping cost to return the item...!?

Almost same price as the item...

 

I demand a full refund saying that the item is suspected to be a fake one..

They did not accept my refund at all.

 

So I decided to purchase a Genuine one from the official web site to compare both speakers.

 

I can use both speakers if I buy two!!

And my plan was to compare them one by one.

 

So, I purchased an official one from the official web site,

and I compare the Fake? Made in China? China use only? whatever it is...

The speaker sold at the third party web site and delivered from China.

 

Here are the pictured...

To compare each and every part of the speakers...

I would like to note that 

I just let you see the pictures of both speakers, and the decision is yours not mine...

Whether they are the same one or fake or domestic-use or sample or test or whatever

I don't have any certain idea on that decision at all...

By the way...

They are a little bit different each other...

I will show you each aspect that I discovered

how two speakers are different

A thorough review on BEOLIT 20.

 

1. Bottom

The left one is from the official web site, and the right one is from third party web site.

The left one from the official site has detailed description with serial numebrs..

The right one does not have much content about the item, with Chinese characters..

There is a serial number on the bottom as well.

(I did not expose the actual serial numbers of the products.)

* The official seller sent us a warranty sticker to guarantee the authenticity of the product.

Confirmed!

 

2. The marking quality of the upper console

Can you see the difference?

The upper one is from the Third-party seller.

The bottom one is from the official seller.

I surely set the camera with appropriate focus for both pictures,

(You can see the small light hole is clearly taken for both pictures.)

The upper one has blurred print on the console,

the bottom one shows clearer print quality.

Confirmed!

 

3. The gap between the upper metal boty and the lower plastic body

Upper one from the Third party seller / Bottom from the official seller

The picture only shows minor differences between two speakers,

The gap on the Third-party one is much wider than the one from the official seller.

Confirmed!

 

4. The quality of the logo on the handle button and leather handle

Upper : Official seller item / Bottom : Third-party item

 

Even though the bottom one is a little darker,

The color of the button from the original seller is gray,

the one from the Third-party seller is more like black.

The leather handle from the official seller is very clean and soft,

On the other hand, the one from the Third-party seller has stain and stiff.

The stain on the leather is visible for the item from the Third-party seller.

Even the leather handle does not affect the functionality of the speaker,

It was clear that the quality of the leather handle from the Third-party seller was much worse that the one from the official seller.

Confirmed!

 

In addition,

The quality of the sound that each speaker delivers is not able to be explained on the post.

I was able to register both speakers on B&O application, and both were found on the application.

Also, I did not disassemble the speakers to compare the inner part of the speakers.

 

Anyway,

I was wanted to compare the speaker from the Third-party seller with the one from the official seller.

I could find several differences between two speakers, and I hope this post are useful for your future purchase for any BEOLIT 20 from any seller.
